Dr. Emily had a vision of making the Children’s Specialty Care Center a true health home – a place where parents can meet all of their children’s healthcare needs in one location. She truly fulfills St. Louis Children’s Hospital’s mission of “Doing What’s Right For Kids” by serving as a “Guardian of Childhood.”
When she is not spending time with her husband, Corey, and sons, Aiden and Alex, Dr. Emily commits time to the Greater St. Louis Dental Society and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Emily attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI for both undergraduate and dental school. She earned her DDS in 2012. She immediately continued her education in Yakima, WA with the Lutheran Medical Center to complete her 2 year intensive pediatric training. During this time she also completed a certificate in Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities. Upon returning to St. Louis in 2014, she began providing dental care for medically complex children at St. Louis Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Emily was raised in Illinois where she danced and sang her way through childhood. She aspired to be a musical star on Broadway, but alas, her very wise father suggested utilizing her peppy personality to help others. He suggested dentistry, as it is the perfect combination of art, science, comforting others and business. Plain old dentistry just wouldn’t do. Pediatric Dentistry sounded way more FUN. A passion emerged.
A St. Louis native, Dr. Mary Margaret obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she also completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. She worked as a general dentist prior to completing her Pediatric Dental Residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Mary Margaret is committed to providing personalized patient care through clear communication and mutual understanding.
She has a passion for helping others overcome dental fears and establish trust through a positive dental experience. She is skilled in working with children of all ages and abilities, as well as those with special healthcare needs.
When Dr. Mary Margaret is not doing pediatric dentistry, she loves to cook, take long boat rides at Table Rock Lake, exercise with her dogs and spend time with friends, her husband and her new baby girl.
Dr. Maura is a strong believer of establishing a dental home as part of a child’s comprehensive health care. She has participated in multiple dental outreaches and mission trips providing dental education and treatment to children without access to care. For the past year she has worked at a public health center serving uninsured and medically underserved children. She has loved being back in her hometown where she devotes much of her time to T.A.S.K. a program that provides social and athletic opportunities for children with special needs. Outside of volunteering, Maura enjoys cheering on her St. Louis Cardinals, playing any sport, traveling and keeping up with her family and friends around the country.
Dr. Maura Robinson was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Cor Jesu Academy in Affton and then ventured south to Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Maura graduated with a degree in Biology. From Alabama, she moved to New York City for six years to earn her Master’s and Dental degrees at New York University College of Dentistry graduating in 2016. While living in the Big Apple was fun, she missed the Midwest and wanted to return back home. In 2018, she completed her two-year pediatric dental residency in Springfield, Missouri and moved back to St. Louis shortly after.
